Who is the Verso Vineyard  Discipleship Year for?

The Verso Discipleship Year is for anyone aged 18 to 25 that attends Verso Vineyard, who are eager to grow in their faith and deepen their relationship with God.

It is for those looking to be equipped spiritually, practically and relationally and to live out their calling in the church and the world. If you are wanting to spend a year intentionally focusing your faith journey, the Discipleship Year is a course that provides the support and community you need to thrive.

What is the cost?

£750 for each participant for the Year. (This includes food and accommodation at the two Vineyard Discipleship Year residentials.)

This is payable to VCUKI and must be done with a £150 deposit in September, the balance can be paid in a lump sum or by a termly or monthly payment plan.

What does Vineyard Discipleship Year Involve?

Vineyard Discipleship Year will be over two days. It involves serving in Verso Care on a Monday morning, with teaching and reflection activities in the afternoon on Monday and the afternoon on Tuesday each week.

The teaching will involve engaging with new and bespoke content alongside your facilitator and other participants. VCUKI have drawn some of the best speakers and practitioners across the movement and beyond to share, encourage and inspire through their own stories and learning.

Alongside Monday and Tuesday afternoon, there will be an opportunity to choose a serving pathway, as part of that you will be asked to serve at different times or evenings according to what pathways you choose. You will also be asked to serve on Sundays.

As part of the year, you will be assigned a support mentor who you will journey alongside you throughout the year, encouraging and supporting you. All participants are required to attend both Discipleship Year residentials,  joining up with Vineyard Discipleship Year participants across the UK and Ireland giving you space to make new friends, worship, participate in ministry, have fun and be empowered and equipped to seek the extension of God’s kingdom in your life.
The first one is 8th-10th October.

Throughout the year,  participants have the chance to participate in VCUKI conferences running across the nations. This includes Dreaming the Impossible, Cause to Live for and Vineyard Leaders Gathering as well as specific regional conference gatherings.
