We hosted a BBQ & I prayed for openings to talk to my non-Christian friends & neighbours about God/Faith. And in fact my non-Christian friends actually brought up faith and prayer which gave me a chance to share about the power of prayer and encourage them to pray!
It reminded me that it took someone’s courage so I could be saved ❤️ we all carry now with us the light of Jesus!
I was a listening ear for a struggling colleague
Cut my neighbours grass and tidied up their front gardens (two neighbours of different faith).
It’s great that one person has been saved from my cycling group at the women’s conference, but I feel called to be more vocal with the other riders about Jesus. I shouldn’t limit who I speak to as God works miracles more than I know. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🙏🙏
When Claire first shared about the barriers the sharing our faith, I realised mine was "I'm afraid God won't show up". Owning that and giving it to Him has been the biggest thing I've personally got from Love Your Street, so that fear has started to break, so I know I'll start to see Him showing up more than I ever thought possible
Created a real sense care for the people around me in my neighbourhood
For the first time, in an embarrassingly long time, I’ve decided to intentionally commit to doing at least 1 completely selfless act per week over the month.
God has shown me that he sees me! That I am not too broken to extend his Kingdom. I am here Lord. Send me 🥰
Checking on a neighbour to see how they are doing. Being available for chats over a cuppa. Being Jesus’ love through giving time to listen to them. Loving them through our time together. Messaging them often to see how I can help.
I have spoken to several people people over the course of love your street including a mechanic who has know me since I was a child, I discovered he felt he was religious but didn't know what to do, I have invited him to church
Another person I have been working with has recently survived cancer but lost her faith. We have talked about jesus and she has begun to open up again.
I’ve seen my kids invite friends to church and pray for them. I challenged my year 10 pupils to read a gospel account from start to finish over the holiday.
Walking through my development praying for my neighbours has reminded me that this is God's heart - that all may know Him. I've been left with a deep consciousness of that, and I pray for courage to lean in and do whatever else He wants me to.
I told my facial lady about Jesus over 2 months this Thursday she asked me to pray with her so she could meet Jesus.
