EVERY LANGUAGE HIMALAYAS - KOCH RAJBANSHI

Right now, over 3.2 billion people in the world have little or no access to the gospel. Of these, 1.5 billion don’t yet have the Bible in their heart language.
This reality moves us — because it moves God. His heart is for every tribe and nation to know Him, and we believe He is calling us to play our part in reaching those who’ve never heard.

That’s why Verso has partnered with Every Language Himalayas (ELH) — part of the global Oral Mother Tongue (OMT) movement, which is working to see the Bible translated orally into every language on earth.

In Asia, where most of the world’s unreached people live, we’ve been led to the Himalayas — a region where more than 250 languages still have no Scripture. ELH missionaries live and serve among these communities, building relationships, discipling local believers, and training them to translate the Bible into their own heart language. Each translation combines deep cultural understanding from within the people group with the wisdom and accuracy of global translators and theologians.

But this work is about more than translation — it’s about transformation. As people hear God’s Word in their own language, they encounter Jesus for themselves and entire communities begin to change.

As a church, we’ve adopted the Koch Rajbanshi people of southeast Nepal — a tribe of around 133,000. Among them is a small but growing group of believers ready to make Jesus known. Together, we get to stand with them as they receive Scripture in their own language and share the hope of the gospel with others.

Our part in this mission is to:
-- GIVE financially to support discipleship and translation (each full oral Bible takes about 2 years and costs around £8,500)
-- PRAY for the Koch Rajbanshi people to encounter Jesus and grow in faith
-- SEND teams to SERVE missionaries on the ground and help distribute translated Scripture portions
-- Together, we believe we’ll see lives and languages transformed as the Word of God reaches the ends of the earth.

CRISIS FUND

Responding to Crisis events around the world.

The Bible repeatedly shows us that God calls His people to care for His creation, feed the hungry, stand up for those who are vulnerable, and to love refugees.
The crisis fund helps us respond to crisis events worldwide by working with our networks to get resources to where they need it on the ground.

IJM

International Justice Mission (IJM) is a global organisation working to stop slavery and violence, working with local authorities and partners to: bring people to safety; support survivors with trauma-informed care; hold perpetrators to account; and strengthen justice systems so that people are protected in the first place. IJM has seen violence and slavery decrease by an incredible 50-86% in nine places where they work around the world. They partner with churches, and as they do churches are empowered to pray, support and empower the work of justice.
