We are so glad you are joining us on our trip to DTI this summer below you will find some useful information to help you prepare, and also links to the essential forms that must be completed before the trip.
If you have any questions please contact Paul ( paul@verso.church ).
Please click the link below and complete the essential forms. There is a part which needs to be completed by the youth attending, the rest should be completed by a parent or guardian.
On Friday 11th July there will be a pre-meet at Verso St Albans between 8pm to 10pm.
All attendees and at least 1 parent or guardian should attend this event.
This will be a key opportunity to meet together with other youth who are going, finalise sleeping arrangements and answer any questions that you may have.
It will also be an opportunity for us to pray and worship together ahead of the trip.
Please make sure all of your kit is labelled with your name.
If you have any questions about the kit list please email paul@verso.church.
Please meet at Verso St Albans at 8.30am on Saturday 2nd August.
* You will need to bring a packed lunch for the journey up we will not be stopping at a service station in either direction this year.
We will be returning to Verso St Albans on Thursday 7th August.
We hope to be back around lunchtime. We will send text message updates of our expected arrival time to the contact you provide in the essential forms above.
DTI is taking place at Staffordshire Showground (Weston Road, Stafford, ST18 0BD)
Should you need to get in contact with us while we are away please call Paul our Youth Pastor on 07541 448098 or email paul@verso.church
There are many places to buy snacks and treats on site, as well as some resources and merchandice in the market place. Please feel free to bring spending money with you.
We are not responsible for looking after your money or your stuff, so remember to keep it safe!
Verso Vineyard is fully covered for public liability. You are not, however, insured against personal accident or injury as a result of an accident or loss of possessions.
We therefore suggest those who feel that additional insurance is necessary to make their own arrangements.
There are morning and evening meetings each day. All youth are expected to attend all of these meetings.
There are also additional optional seminars and events that they can attend throughout the festival.
We will be eating together as a group in our marquees. Meals from dinner on Saturday to breakfast on Thursday are included.
You are welcome to bring your phone to DTI, and there will be charging facilities available in our main marquee.
To use the charging facility you will need to bring a USB cable with a USB A socket (shown below) labelled with your name.
It will not be possible to plug in other chargers or devices that do not use a USB A cable.
Phones should not be left unattended in the marquee and you are responsible for loss or damage of any valuables that you bring with you. Any device left in the marquee overnight will be unplugged.
We do not want phones to be a distraction during the main meetings, if you use them for anything other than taking notes or looking up scripture expect a member of the team to ask you to put them away.
It really helps us if you can drop off your luggage before the day.
You can bring your labelled luggage to Sunday Morning Youth on Sunday 20th or 27th July.
Or you can drop off luggage to the Verso St Albans office between 9am and 1pm on Monday 28th July - Thursday 31st July.
We will be camping at DTI. We are asking everyone where possible to either bring their own tent or arrange to share with another youth.
If you are looking for a reasonably priced tent we would suggest these:
Eurohike Sendero 4
Simple to set up and suitable for up to 3 people with a separate space for luggage.
£99.99 from Go Outdoors
Eurohike Teepee
Extremely easy to put up and suitable for 1-2 people with luggage.
£99.99 from Go Outdoors
Below is a copy of the behaviour contract included in the essential forms. Parents/guardians should go through this agreement with their children.
By sending your child on this trip you confirm that you agree to the rules of this behaviour contract. Failure to follow these rules may result in you being sent home. In such instances parents/guardians will be expected to collect their child from site within 6 hours at their own expense.
