If you're wondering what baptism is, or thinking of taking the next step in your faith to be baptised - first of all, congratulations! And secondly, you're on the right page.
Below is a summary of what we see baptism as, but before you are baptised we will hold a class where you can find out more and ask questions to help you see how wonderful the act of baptism is.

Baptism is not what saves us, but it is commanded as a public declaration of what you believe.
“he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, - Titus 3:5
“Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2.38
In baptism, we choose to join with Jesus in his death AND his resurrection. In doing so, we die to our old lives, are set free from any obligations and shame that sin held us to, and we start a new life in Jesus.
“For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives...” Romans 6:4
We only need to die to our old selves once. That’s why we only encourage one baptism.
So if you’re not completely sure this is where you’re at, that’s okay. Join us at an Alpha course and register your interest so you can join us at a class to find out more.
Note: We emphasis baptism as a decision you make, so you can be baptised even if you were Christened as a child.
We usually host a Baptism service every Easter Sunday.
To celebrate being raised with Jesus whilst celebrating Jesus rising from the dead is too good a day to miss.
If you'd like us to contact you nearer the time with details, simply let us know you're interested and we'll be in touch.
